This week I am reading the sequel to Heat Wave . Like the last book it is based around a homicide case. Nikki Heat is a New York police homicide detective and Jamison Rook a writer following Heat for a article he was writing. The best part of this book is the raids of armed suspects houses. When they gather all the S.W.A.T and detectives and drive cool cars and lots of guns to their house. I also like the parts when they just got a new lead and are brain storming back and forth coming up with crazy ideas. Nikki and Jamison have a secret romance and are trying to cover it up. Te reason I really love this book is because it is based off the TV show Castle.

Heat Wave
This week I am reading the book HEAT WAVE, BY RICHARD CASTLE. I love reading this book because it is based off of one of my favorite TV shows Castle
This TV show is all about homicide detectives and a classic murder mystery; but because of his friendships with the mayor, Richard Castle a mystery book writer is aloud to follow and assist detective Kate Becket. In the show he is gathering material for his fifth book his first book is Heat Wave. In the book it is like 10 episodes of CASTLE but every one has a different name. One of the biggest parts of the show and the book is that Richard has a secret crush on Kate and vise versa, even though they both date other people.
The best part of the book is the interrogation of a suspect, the way that they are written is so convincing to even the reader that sometimes I confess to the crime out loud!
I love these stories even more because they are so like the show! I don't know if they would be as good without watching the show but I really enjoy them.

This week I am reading Steve Jobs biography, i really like it because i like to learn about computers and electronic devices. It is hard for anyone under the age of 15 to imagine a world without computers, iPhones, and iPads. This book takes me back to the age of "computer" What i mean by this is when Steve was in college the computer could not even be used as a calculator or even connect to the internet. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak has a vision of "the age of the computers." They dreamed that one day every family in the nation would own a desktop or portable computer. This goal inspired them to make a cheap but powerful computer for the masses. To this day wether it be and iPad or MacBook Air Apple has created portable, efective products for every one across the nation and the world. It talks of how apple later came to every market like the computer market, phone market (which has been forever changed) and the music industry; imagine a world where to get music you had to buy a disk from the store! Now all you do is press download. There is a section talking about the new Apple TV, now its just a plug in box but apple hopes to create a full screen and box that go together.
So far I am really enjoying this book and I am about half way through so there will be more next week...

The name of the star
The book I'm reading now is called The name of the star. It is set in London in about the 1800s. It's about an american girl who comes to London to a boarding school. She thought she was just going to be there doing school work and it would be like going to school at home. This was different. When Rory came to school, a rampage of murders broke loose. The murder is called Jack the Ripper. He actually was a real thing, this actually happened in the 1800s. The ripper started killing more and more people, and no one could see the actual murderer. No one could see him on tape, and everyone was shocked. This book is such a thrill ride, each chapter contains so many cliff-hangers and clues that don't let me put the book down. This book is a bit creepy, I love scary books but this one has a bit more gore to it. I REALLY hope everyone reads this book. It takes a bit of effort to really push past the beginning, but it's so worth it. This book honestly makes me want to move to London and be in Rory's position. To see all the stuff she has witnessed, it's amazing. I'm not sure if Rory was a real character in the actual 1800s, but it would be cool if Rory did live there in that time. I guarntee everyone will love this book. It has a bit of romance, gore, and a big hint of creepiness.

Gossip girl
In class this week I read a book called gossip girl. This book is fun to read but there is no (great writing). I made the same mistake last time I read a book, it was a good book but it didn't have that quality writing that I was looking for.
This book is easey to relate to, it's all about the drama and gossip of school and the struggle of homework and social life. This is like the situation some people are in. All though this book is pretty extreme I enjoy it, as you can see it gets funny, like when people are fighting over useless small details.
This book is not what I wanted it to be, if I could change it I would add some skilled writing. I am not going to continue reading this but I will be looking for books to read.

Bossy Pants #2
This book just keeps getting funnier every page. And knowing that it is all real makes it even better! Just to recap this book is a autobiography of Tina Fay. It tells of stories from her early child hood to about 2010. My favorite part of the book so far was when she wrote about her second city acting group. I really like this part because of the people in her group, especially Amy Poehler. This part of the book was written with a lot of description about this period and you can tell that some of the skits influence her personality and her shows. This book for some strange reason is enjoyable to read but there isn't a lot of skilled writing in it. This book is a easy book to read and I do recommend it but I wish it had more components to write about it. Im almost done and am ready to start a new book.
